This evening I am heading for Dragon Hill Spa& Resort in Seoul located next to Yongsan station. The spa is open 24h and the time you spend there after paying the entancefee is not limited. Arriving at Dragon Hill Spa&Resort , the perfect place to get spa and relax in Seoul . Bamboo and green lights gets you in the mood for what is to come inside the Spa. Pay the entrancefee at the recaption and get your key for locker with a built in chip for payment inside the Spa. You get your spa shorts, t-shirt and towels handed to you here. Lockers for your shoes right inside of the reception. Mens locker on the left hand side, womens on the right. After putting away your shoes head for the spa floor, one entrance for men, one for women. The mens spa is located at the 5th floor and a elevator takes you there. Floor guide for Dragon Hill Spa&Resort. Here you do not want to be unconfortable being naked among several others. Since there is a no photo policy at the 5th floor (and […]

Now I will visit a private home that is open for a guided tour with tea included. Later this evening I will try out some Korean cuisine. Visiting a city like this means a lot of walking an plenty of time to built up an appetite, I just hope that Korean food tastes good. Walking down the hill trying to find the right entrance to the house that is open to the public. Welcome to this traditional Korean house. This private home is designed and owned by a architect. First floor and garden is open to the public, the basement is private and decorated in a south American style. Seoul as seen from the terrace of the house. The entrance and garden of the house. The living room or dining room. All rooms here are multi purpose and can be used both for entertaining guest and accommodating them. The bowls on the table is over 1000 years old according to the guide. It is not just a normal table, this one is hand made with thousands of mother of pearls inserts witch reflects in […]

Having a short weekend stop in Seoul Korea. The flight time from Tokyo to Seoul is 2 hours, making it a good destination for a short get away. I am taking ANA from Tokyo Haneda airport to Seoul Gimpo airport. From the airport to the hotel that I have booked in the Gangnam area. Welcome to Seoul Korea! Checking in at Haneda airport at the ANA counter. The service is as every place in Japan excellent. Arriving at Gimpo, welcome to Seoul Korea. From the airport I first checked the possibilities to take a bus in to the city, not easy to figure out. I ended up taking a taxi to the city, my best choice would have been taking the train. I have booked the Korean suite at Hotel Grammos. The hotel is located in Gangnam and the area around the hotel is mainly office buildings, not too exciting. A 7-eleven and a Starbucks is the most exciting thing around here. Luckily it is just a few minutes walk to the nearest station. The size of the suite was decent and a open bathroom and bath solution was different. Seoul streets, too much traffic […]

Being here you will soon understand and go along with how this city just flows. I have bought myself a PASMO card and filled it up with 5000 yen. This card can be used for traveling with trains, buses, metro, shops, vending machines, coin lockers and parking lots. This makes traveling around Tokyo easy and hassle free. As you can see I am often on a train going visiting the different areas of Tokyo. A new day has begun and I am ready for more exploring. To be really smart here I need a smart watch and since I have the iPhone a Apple Watch is the right gadget to get. The Apple Store in Omotesando was closed so now I am at Bic Camera next to Tokyo Station. At the supermarket you use gray baskets to collect your groceries in the shop. When you are finished the cashier scans your items and place them in a identical yellow basket. This shows that you have payed for your items and can […]
