Today I am leaving Manhattan and visit Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. These historic and famous sights is a must while being in New York as a tourist. The ferry departs from Battery park. From the battery you can see two of New York’s iconic landmarks—the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Statue Cruises offers departures daily to these national monuments. You can purchase tickets online or at the kiosk in Castle Clinton National Monument. Ticket bought, remember to specify if you want to visit the Statue of liberty and not only the grounds. It is a tourist thing, so get your elbows ready for taking the perfect shot of the statue. Perfect weekend stop in Warsaw Poland Back to Warsaw again, I think this is a perfect and easy place to get away and stop for a weekend. Travel is made cheap by Wizz air departing from TRF in Norway. Also this time I have booked an apartment central in Warsaw. For a weekend stop I find Warsaw to be good value for money. There is a long list of things to do and see in the city or as I am going to do for the most, relax. On my list for this weekend is good food, shopping and just have a relaxing time in Poland. Low cost airline, prices starting at a few euros. Romantic Paris France There is no city in the world with a more romantic reputation than Paris France. I have saved this weekend for someone special, however that plan was changed on a short notice. This weekend was planned 6 hours prior to my flight departing. I got a call from my friend that he was going to Paris France, I just booked a cheap ticket and will meet up with him in about 7 hours. A romantic Paris weekend was something I had saved on my list for a more special occasion, guess this would be special enough, just not romantic. Seeing all the sights, exploring the city and have a relaxed summer weekend stop is what we will do. Flying with SAS from Kristiansand, to Oslo and direct to Paris. Ready for the first leg after just a few hours sleep. Luckily I always fall asleep before the plane gets of the tarmac and normally I wake up when the plane is descending. What a nice SAS plane. Family gathering in Lübeck Germany Lübeck Germany is my weekend destination. My cousin is studying here and this year my family will gather for a weekend together in this historic town. I have booked myself a room at Ibis hotel Lübeck, my expectations are low, however value for money is always good at Ibis. My journey will take me on a flight from Kristiansand (KRS) to Copenhagen (CPH), from Copenhagen (CPH) to Hamburg(HAM), train from Hamburg to Lübeck. A quick search before going tells me that I am visiting a historic old town. Sightseeing and spending time with my family is this weekends agenda. My Wideroe flight from Kirstiansand. Changing to a one size bigger plane to get me from Copenhagen to Germany. Waiting for my train at Hamburg Hauptbahnhof. My hotel is located in the not so historic and beautiful part of the city. Ibis have made the reception look more modern.   When entering Ibis hotel I know I have at least saved some money. Lübeck streets. As in everywhere there is a bridge love is on the agenda.
