Pensioner lifestyle in Alicante Spain This weekend my stop is Alicante, Spain. This is a popular destination for Norwegians that wants to experience good, warm days at the beach. On my flight the average age is far above mine. Alicante is a great place for couples, families and people that wants a lazy vacation. I am staying for two days and do not relly expect more than good temperatures, a clean nice beach, a old hotel with ok standard and old people all around. Nature and summer in Lofoten Norway Taking a weekend in northern Norway, visiting my family again and doing some tourist things here in Norway. The forecast is sunshine all weekend, that is not a common thing in the north. Short sleeves is packed and I am ready to fly from where I live in the south up to the north. Here is my weekend. Departing from Kristiansand (KRS) airport. First stop is Oslo and from there it is 1 hour and 30 minutes to Evenes (EVE). Approaching the airport, the landscape changes dramatically, this is Norway!   Crossing the brigde from the mainland to Hinnøya island where Harstad city is located. Arriving in the North a visit to my grandma is important, nothing says welcome home like waffles with strawberries from the garden.   Being a real tourist this weekend I take a helicopter ride to see my hometown from the sky. Regatta in Harstad. From Harstad there is a few hours drive to Lofoten. Here I am arriving in Henningsvær for RIB safari. There is many adventures to undertake here, check this page.
