This weekend my stop is Harstad and Sortland in norhtern Norway. Travelling north to visit my family and new nephew. First leg of the journey is from Kristiansand KRS to Oslo Gardermoen OSL, changing flight there and Evenes EVE is my final destination. Norwegian ariline will take me there for a reasonable price. I will spend one day in Harstad before taking Hurtigruten from Harstad to Sortland where my sister and her family lives. Here is the photos for your inspiration. Norwegian airlines from Kristiansand to Evenes After watching too many episodes of air crash investigation I always prefer to sit next to the wings of the aircraft. If it is a better chance to survive a unexpected situation I do not really know. Nature and summer in Lofoten Norway Taking a weekend in northern Norway, visiting my family again and doing some tourist things here in Norway. The forecast is sunshine all weekend, that is not a common thing in the north. Short sleeves is packed and I am ready to fly from where I live in the south up to the north. Here is my weekend. Departing from Kristiansand (KRS) airport. First stop is Oslo and from there it is 1 hour and 30 minutes to Evenes (EVE). Approaching the airport, the landscape changes dramatically, this is Norway!   Crossing the brigde from the mainland to Hinnøya island where Harstad city is located. Arriving in the North a visit to my grandma is important, nothing says welcome home like waffles with strawberries from the garden.   Being a real tourist this weekend I take a helicopter ride to see my hometown from the sky.
